Medical doctor. Professor emeritus at Kyoto University.

After working at Kyoto University School of Medicine, Kumamoto University School of Medicine, and RIKEN, established the NPO All About Science Japan.

As a leader in regenerative medicine, stem cells, and genomic medicine, he conducts research and education activities in Japan and overseas.
